Position Summary:Accounting professional with experience and skills to provide financial and clerical services with attention to details and proper sense of urgency. Accounting duties include the following tasks. Ensure accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions and entries. Leverage ERP and Finance tools effectively. Work closely with the Accounting teammates in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as well as cross-functional collaboration with colleagues in other departments and customers as needed.Essential Accounting Functions/Major Responsibilities: Perform day-to-day financial transactions and journal entries on time as required. Complete month-end close journal entries in ERP system. Reconcile all balance sheet accounts accurately. Pay close attention to all financial details at all times in order to identify and verify discrepancies uncovered in reconciliation process or in other financial transactions. Work with Accounts Payable and provide fill-in support as required. Work with Accounts Receivables and provide fill-in support as required Assist in preparation of financial reports with proper sense of urgency. Responsible for managing and accounting for an Imprest Petty Cash box. Propose and develop new procedures or process improvements as needed to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Update vendor accounts as required. Process bank payments as required. Update customer accounts with latest payments and/or new customer contact information. Provide close collaboration and teamwork with company teammates internally as well as with customer representatives externally.Supervisory Responsibility:No supervisory responsibility at this time. As the organization grows in the future, Managementcan nurture employee's skills if the employee aspired to a future supervisory role and if a supervisory position became available.Qualifications:Education/Training: 2-3 years' experience and a 2-year Accounting Associate's degree preferred, or total 5 years of relevant experience.Experience: 2+ years Accounting position with responsibility for reconciling balance sheet accounts required. 2+ years' experience with ERP systems or QuickBooks, MS Office, Excel and MS Outlook. Proven working experience as an accounting professional. Minimum 2+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.Skills/Technical Requirements: Knowledge of Accounting principles and procedures, keen attention to details, experience and ability to prioritize and handle multiple day-to-day financial tasks simultaneously, strong user skills with accounting software, communicate information with precision and easy to understand, solve problems, collaborate, and work well under pressure.Job Location:This is an in-office position at Poway, CA. Role includes in-person collaboration with teammates, remote work is not available for this position. The pay range for this position is $28 to $31per hour.Job Conditions/Physical Demands:Office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at the computer terminal and using a keyboard.Protective Devices Required:In required areas.
