Job Description:
As a vital member of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), a
proactive, diligent Customs and Border Protection Officer is
essential to our mission of preventing terrorism, enhancing
security, and facilitating the lawful entry and exit of individuals
and goods at U.S. borders. This role involves rigorous enforcement
of customs, immigration, and agriculture laws at U.S. ports of
entry. Officers work in a dynamic environment and are extensively
trained to handle a variety of scenarios, including narcotics
detection, anti-terrorism, and illegal immigration. Inspecting
cargo, vehicles, and personal belongings entering and leaving the
U.S. Intercepting contraband, like narcotics and unapproved goods,
and detaining suspects and illegal items Processing individuals,
vehicles, and merchandise at entry and exit points Detaining
individuals suspected of crimes or legal violations Implementing
and following the policies and procedures of the customs and
immigration services effectively Strong interpersonal and
communication skills Ability to make quick decisions in
high-pressure environments High level of physical fitness and
strength Proficiency in using security devices and systems
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and procedures Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance 401k Required: Passing the CBP Officer
Entrance Examination. Preferred: *Completion of the CBP Officer
training academy* and any relevant firearms certification.
