farming, real estate holdings, and passive investments. This role
reports to ownership.
About the Role
Our company, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a
dynamic and experienced General Manager / Chief Operating Officer
(GM / COO) to join our executive team. This permanent, full-time
position will oversee daily operations, lead strategic initiatives,
and ensure organizational growth and financial health.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CEO and executives to develop and evaluate
strategies aligned with company goals.
- Manage multiple departments and lead a team of 5 to 10 direct
reports.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and ensure operations stay
within financial plans.
- Conduct investment analysis, including underwriting new
investments.
- Review financial statements and apply accounting
principles.
- Identify operational improvements and implement optimization
plans.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage farm acquisitions and real estate development
projects.
- Foster a company culture aligned with our mission and
vision.
- Communicate and enforce company policies.
- Utilize project management skills to define objectives and
strategize implementation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manager, General Manager, or
COO.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Accounting/Finance,
Agriculture, or related fields.
- Experience in farming, especially permanent crops like nuts
(Pistachio, Almonds), is highly desirable.
- Experience managing multiple departments and teams of 5-10
members.
- Strong financial analysis skills and knowledge of accounting
principles.
- Excellent decision-making, leadership, and problem-solving
skills.
- Fast learner with effective time management.
- Proficiency in office software, especially Excel.
- Experience in real estate acquisition and development.
- Experience in underwriting investments.
- Ability to develop and implement management strategies.
Additional Details
- Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 per year, with bonus, retirement,
and full benefits.
- Location: West Los Angeles, with relocation
assistance.
- Part of the executive leadership team.
- Reporting to ownership.
