Description RN for our Welcome Baby program at the Providence
Holy Cross Medical Center campus. This is a Part-Time position that
will work 8-hour shifts (no weekends). You are working in the
patients' homes 100% of the time as it is the primary location of
service delivery for the Welcome Baby Program. The Welcome Baby
Nurse will visit families at that critical first home visit after
discharge from the hospital. The Welcome Baby Nurse will support
families, conduct maternal and newborn clinical assessments and
provide parent education in the areas of postnatal care,
breastfeeding, parent-infant attachment, home safety and other
maternal and child health related topics. They will also help
identify client strengths, needs, barriers, and risks and provide
community resources for those needs. Providence caregivers are not

them. Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart
Association
- California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization
within 30 days of hire
- 5 years work experience in Maternal Child Health
- Experience in community health (i.e., public health nursing)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
