Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist Location: La Mesa, CA Pay rate: $82.88/hour Shift: 5X8hrs Duration: January 26, 2026 – April 25, 2026 (13-week contract, possible extension) Schedule: 40 hours/week | 8-hour shifts Variable weekday shifts: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Every other weekend required (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) On-call required: 45-minute response time NM Tech will order doses from home, notify provider, and report onsite when dose arrives Job Description: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist / CT Tech provides high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient-centered care in an acute-care hospital setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, independent practice capability, and collaboration with physicians, pharmacy, and care teams to support safe and effective patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform nuclear medicine and CT imaging procedures according to established protocols Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals Operate gamma cameras, SPECT, PET, and CT imaging equipment Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures Ensure radiation safety and compliance with state and federal regulations Maintain equipment quality control and documentation Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and healthcare teams Respond to on-call needs and manage dose coordination Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Radiology/Nuclear Medicine experience Active California Nuclear Medicine Technologist license ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification CT Certification required: ARRT (CT) OR NMTCB (CT) BLS (AHA – Healthcare Provider) required Completion of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program Preferred Experience Acute-care hospital experience PET/CT experience Prior travel assignment experience On-call and weekend coverage experience About Aimic Inc Aimic provides essential support by connecting healthcare facilities with qualified professionals.
