Job Description:

Our client is a major manufacturer of sensor technology and wireless connectors for the aerospace field. We are seeking a diligent and astute Buyer to join our client’s main operation, located in Chatsworth, CA. This is a key position within our client’s purchasing department. You will be responsible for establishing relations with current and potential vendors, conducting order placement, supporting the operations teams with production materials, and maintaining inventory levels. You will also · Collaborate with Production Planners and the ERP system to determine order quantities and utilize data to evaluate current and future material availability. · Locate new vendors for materials, supplies, or equipment · Conduct price negotiations with vendors, and ensure that you are meeting budgetary requirements · Review the purchase order claims and contracts to ensure compliance with the company policy · Resolve any vendor grievances as they come in · Manage inventory levels in support of production needs · Conduct proper follow-up to ensure that the product has safely arrived at the various departments. Other projects will occasionally be assigned to you when needed. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position. First shift, from 6:15 am to 4:45 pm, Monday to Thursday. This is known as a 4/10 schedule, and you will have Fridays off.
