The PositionThe "Connecting Later in Career'' Rotational
Development Program Pilot (CLIC) is a leadership development
program in Oceanside, CA. CLIC hires top talent with at least four
years of experience, and prepares them for successful contributions
to Roche/Genentech's Pharma Technical Operations (PT). The program
gives CLIC participants the opportunity to gain a broad perspective
on the core PT functions that are critical to the production and
manufacturing of Genentech/Roche products. Participants can rotate
in any of the business areas of PT including: Manufacturing,
Facilities & Engineering, Quality, MSAT,
Safety/Health/Environmental Science, Materials Management,
Operational Excellence, Business Operations, and/or Data and
Analytics or related disciplines. - -Rotational projects support
specific business needs throughout PT at Oceanside. - The rotations
are tailored to provide challenging and meaningful assignments,
training in technical and leadership skills, and coaching with
rotation managers and mentors. Training and development
includes:
- Rotational assignments within PT Oceanside for a total of 12-18
months (could be two or three rotations, depending on the current
opportunities)
- Networking with Leaders and Hiring Managers -
- High visibility to Oceanside Leadership Team members and
Extended Team Members
- Coaching through a Mentor Program
- Development opportunities providedHow CLIC Works:The program
provides participants with opportunities to further develop project
management expertise, support world-class manufacturing, and be
involved in processes that significantly drive business
productivity and profitability. Participants will be responsible
for projects on both an individual and team basis and will perform
activities and functions as a member of their assigned department.
Each participant will partner with a rotation manager, who will
guide them through the day-to-day activities of the department.
Rotations last 6-9 months and are based on a combination of PT
strategic objectives, specific departmental needs, and interests of
the participants. Because this is a pilot program, assignments are
available only at our Oceanside, California facilities. Throughout
the rotational assignments, CLIC participants are considered
full-time employees of their assigned department and are eligible
for Genentech's generous vacation and benefits package. From the
start of their rotations, participants will network and meet with
hiring managers for placement into open positions.Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
- At least four years of professional experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills and project management skills

- Experience preferred in one or more of these areas:
- Automation: Engineering, lifecycle support and continuous
improvement for infrastructure (hardware, system software,
networks, data interfaces) related to computer system
- Process Engineering: Design, implement and support
manufacturing processes; identify and implement process
improvement
- QC: Analytical testing; quality systems; equipment
qualification, method validation, method transfer, process
improvement
- Manufacturing: producing medicine in a highly automated and
controlled environment; cell culture, purification,
