yourself! At the level of IOM Technologist – Intra-Operative
Specialist/nit is expected that the individual show self-direction
and initiative with/nminimal supervision. The basic elements of EEG
and EP acquisition already/nshould be mastered. Artifact
detection/elimination skills already should be/nmastered. Advanced
techniques are mastered and applied independently at this/nlevel,
such as intra-operative monitoring of complex procedures.
The/ntechnologist should be able to describe EEG and EP findings to
junior faculty/nin a review style format. IOM Technologists must be
flexible enough to learn/nnew and advanced protocols when needed.
IOM Technologists should serve as/nresources for junior staff. They
are also expected to take responsibility for/ncertain specific
aspects of laboratory organization and serve as the lead lab
team/nmember in those individual areas of responsibility. IOM
Technologist –/nIntra-Operative Specialist will maintain
registration credentials as a/nCertified Neurological
Intra-operative Monitorist (CNIM). They are also/nexpected to
acquire continuing education units as recommended by the
national/naccrediting body in the field, and keep up to date in
changes and advances in/nthe field. A minimum of three years of
experience in the related/nfields is required for the PRN EEG
title. Those who do not meet those requirements/nwill be considered
for the EEG Technologist title. Salary Range EEG Tech: $41.60 -
$54.87 Salary Range Senior EEG Tech: $45.06 - $59.45 Salary Range:
Principle EEG Tech: $59.64 - $78.69 Salary Range: IONM
Technologist: $66.41 - $82.58 Qualifications Completion of
an/nelectroencephalography program or an equivalent combination of
education,/nexperience, knowledge and abilities essential to the
successful performance of/nthe duties assigned to the position –
strongly preferred ABRET certification (CNIM) – required for
IONM/nTech R. EEG T. Certification – required for/nSenior and
Principle Tech BLS Certification – required for all Tech
positions
